UniCredit Bank has successfully concluded a new issuance of corporate bonds in lei (senior unsecured), through an offer carried out on 16th of December 2022. Through the primary bond sale offer, the bank targeted a total amount of 450 million lei, but the offer was oversubscribed, and the final amount allocated was 488.5 million lei.
UniCredit Bank's issuance of corporate bonds in lei is part of a wider program of diversification of financing sources aimed at increasing the access to financing for the Bank's customers.
The offer was successfully concluded, based on subscriptions by local institutional investors and international financial institutions.

This new bond issuance represents another step in the diversification of our funding structure that will help increase customer access to loans, in particular green mortgages, in line with our strategy to promote and support ESG fundamentals*, as well as loans to sectors of activity that are directly impacted by the economic consequences of the geopolitical situation ".
The bond issuance has a maturity of 5 years (December 21, 2027) and a fixed annual coupon of 9.07%. The bonds will be listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
The agent was Alpha Bank Romania S.A., while Clifford Chance Badea law firm provided the legal consultancy.
