UniCredit Bank announces measures for customers’ support

The health and well-being of customers and employees is UniCredit's top priority.In light of the state of emergency over Covid-19 outbreak in Romania, UniCredit Bank provides specially tailored support measures for the affected clients.

UniCredit is working actively to ensure essential banking services are available through remote channels. Our clients can retrieve all relevant information on products and services and perform all main banking activities in a simple, fast and secure way through multiple remote channels including: Mobile and Online Banking (with zero costs), for individuals, BusinessNet for companies.

At the same time, the bank will implement a set of measures meant to support the clients during this difficult period, which could upon private individual clients request and based on each concrete situation also include postponement of the instalments. 

Therefore, customers going through such difficult period can contact UniCredit at 021.200.20.80, from Monday to Friday, between 9.00-17.00.Upon customers’ request, for SMEs that a loan with the Bank that are temporarily impacted by Covid-19, we have implemented a fast flow decision process in order to find quickly the most appropriate solution for our clients.

As the health authorities’ indications are to limit interactions with other people to those that are strictly necessary, the Bank strongly recommends its clients to use the remote channels available, pay through Apple Pay feature or Contactless Cards and avoid cash as much as possible.

Still, in case they need to withdraw cash, starting 18 of March, all UniCredit clients will benefit of free of charge ATM withdrawals to all national ATM network (including non-UniCredit ATMs), effective for all holders of debit cards issued by the bank.

Therefore, we encourage everybody to primarily use the remote channels of the bank - Mobile and Online Banking (with zero costs) for private individuals or BusinessNet for companies – and also to access the solutions we offer if they are temporarily impacted by Covid-19 situation.

Short working hours for a number of branches

The health and well-being of employees and customers is UniCredit Bank’s top priority.UniCredit Bank has taken decisive action to guarantee nation-wide service coverage for its clients while protecting the health of both clients and staff.

From March 23, 2020 until April 17th, 2020, for a number of selected branches, the opening hours on working days will be from 10:00 to 16:00, with a lunch break between 13:00 and 13:30.

Until further notice, the rest of the branches will function according to the present schedule: on working days from 09:00 to 17:00, with a lunch break between 13:00 and 13:30.

UniCredit Bank is kindy asking the clients to access the branch individually as directed by our staff and also to respect the distance of at least one and a half meter both between customers and staff and clients themselves.
