Ion is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience in the Romanian financial and banking industry, with proven expertise in corporate governance, operational leadership, digital transformation, and risk management. He served as First Executive Vice President of Alpha Bank Romania, a member of the UniCredit Group.

Since 2021, he has been a Member of the Board of Directors of the Romanian Banking Association. Ion holds a master’s degree in mathematics and informatics from the University of Bucharest.
